Timothy Frerichs received a Bachelor of Arts from St. Olaf College, MN, and a Master of Arts and Master of Fine Arts from the University of Iowa. He has received numerous awards including two Fulbright Fellowship Awards to Germany, a USA Projects Grant, a Netherland-America Foundation Cultural Grant, A US Embassy, The Hague, Netherlands, Project Grant, a Constance Saltonstall Foundation Grant for Printmaking, an American-Scandinavian Fellowship to Sweden, 2 Erasmus Plus grants to Turkey, and a SUNY Fredonia President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. Frerichs’ drawings, prints and multimedia work have been widely exhibited internationally and nationally. His artwork is included in international and national public and private collections. Frerichs currently is a Professor of Art in the Department of Visual Arts and New Media at SUNY Fredonia.
